Second drive through vaccination centre set to open today

The second drive through COVID-19 vaccination centre is all set to open in Al Wakra today. This follows the success of the 1st drive through vaccination centre in Lusail.

The drive thru centre in Al Wakra will further propel the national COVID-19 vaccination programme. And was announced yesterday by the Minister of Public Health Her Eminence Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari.

Who said “we are now administering more than 130,000 vaccine doses a week in more than 35 vaccination sites across Qatar. The opening of a second drive-thru centre in Al Wakra will enable us to continue to expand the vaccination programme”.

iLife digital in partnership with Ali Bin Ali Holdings is set to open the first laptop manufacturing facility in Qatar

iLife Digital has partnered with Qatar’s Prime Technologies to set up a 3,000 square metre production facility in Qatar’s free zone. To meet the growing demand for its next generation stylish and affordable products. Prime Technologies is a subsidiary of Ali bin Ali Holdings one of the largest conglomerates in Qatar.

The new facility located in Doha will feature state of the art production and R&D facilities, along with logistics and a customer solutions centre. Production will begin from August 2021 and initially it will manufacture laptops, desktops, and tablet PCs with an expected output of approximately 350,000 units annually.

Qatar’s weather today

The Met Office have put out a warning that there will be strong wind and poor visibility in places today.

Doha will see temperatures between 22 and 31 degrees. Elsewhere in the country it will be between 17 and 42 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 614 new cases of COVID-19 and 382 recoveries. Unfortunately, there were also 2 Covid related death. Which means there’s been an increase of 230 cases giving us a new current total of 14,296 active cases.
