It’s Sunday 28th February

In today’s newspapers

356 face action for violating Covid norms

Yesterday 356 people refer to the public prosecution for violating preventative and precautionary measures.

291 for not wearing masks in places where they are mandatory, 26 for violating the maximum number of four people allowed in a vehicle including the driver, 28 for not safe distancing, 3 failed to comply with quarantine requirements, 7 for not installing the Ehteraz app on their mobile phone and 1 for not complying with the social event pledge.

Remarkable decrease in fire incidents

The last year has witnessed a decrease in the number of fire incidents compared to 2019, primarily due to more awareness among society members, a senior official at the Ministry of Interior has said.

He also said that the response time to reach fire incidents and rescue is between 7 and 9 minutes.

Today’s weather will see generally moderate temperatures.

Doha will be between 16 and 24 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 10 and 23 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 460 new cases of COVID-19 and 412 recoveries. Which means there’s been an increase of 48 cases giving us a new current total of 9,721 active cases.

Please keep following COVID precautions because together we can beat this.
