In today’s newspapers

A record 642 people have been referred to prosecution for violating COVID-19 measures

621 for non compliance with wearing masks

and 21 for exceeding the safe limit allowed in vehicles

15,000 people have been referred to the public prosecution since the implementation of COVID-19 precautionary measures.

European champions Bayern Munich arrived in Doha yesterday ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup 2020 semi-final clash against Egyptian side Al Ahly tomorrow.

On to today’s weather, today will see moderate temperatures daytime with some scattered clouds and a chance of rain in places. Slightly dusty at time it will be relatively cold by tonight.

There’s a Met Department warning that strong winds are expected in places this afternoon.

Doha will see temperatures between 19 and 26 degrees. Today’s lowest temperature will be in Abu Samra Al Khor both of which will see temperatures as low as 16 degrees.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 262, to 6,681.

9,527 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 4.14% of those tested positive.

Of those testing positive 53 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
