The ministry of public health has lowered the threshold age for vaccine from 70 years to 65 years

Anyone aged 65 and over who has not yet been contacted, can now call the hotline on 4027 7077 to book an appointment. That number again is 4027 7077.

The Ministry of Public Health is warning of scam calls, seeking personal information for Ehteraz app

The Ministry of Public Health has warned citizens and residents against responding to telephone calls made by unknown persons, requesting personal information claiming that it is necessary for the Ehteraz mobile application.

The ministry confirmed via the Ehteraz application that it did not assign any person, or party to carry out this procedure or communicate through calls.

The Ministry of Public Health has called on citizens and residents to exercise caution and not to give any personal information or data over the phone to any person or entity claiming to be assigned to do so by the Ministry of Public Health or the health sector.  

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 69, to 2,384.

8,251 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 2.39% of those tested positive.

Of those testing positive 50 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
