Coming into effect from tomorrow, restaurants and cafes can operate at a maximum capacity of 30% in open air spaces. Restaurants and cafes that have Clean Qatar certification can operate indoors at a maximum capacity of 30% provided all workers are fully vaccinated. There’s to be no wedding parties. Metro and public transport services to be operated at 30% seven days a week, buses can operate at 50%, driving schools 30% but all workers must have completed their COVID-19 vaccination, cinemas and theatres 30%, private healthcare facilities 80%, educational centres and private training centres 30%, museums and public libraries 30%. Health clubs, gyms massage services, steam and jacuzzi services, Moroccan and Turkish baths all at 30% for fully vaccinated. Outdoor swimming pools and water parks 30%, indoor pools and water parks 20% but only for those fully vaccinated.

You must continue to wear a mask and have your Ehteraz App activated whenever you leave your home for any reason. Gatherings or sitting in public parks, beaches and the Corniche for a maximum of five people or family members residing in the same house are allowed. Individual sports such as walking running and cycling are allowed. And there’s to be a maximum of five people who have completed both doses that can be together in close spaces. Government, private institutions and businesses will continue to work at half capacity on premises, with the other half working from home.

Ashghal to construct the region’s largest electric charging station.

As part of the states strategy to shift to clean energy, the Public Works Authority has announced the beginning of the installation of 653 electric chargers and 713 inverters across 41 charging sites, that are under construction for the Public Bus Infrastructure Programme.

Summer work in the open not allowed from 10am till 3:30pm

The Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs has begun implementing ministerial decision #17 for the year 2021 regarding the necessary precautions to protect workers from heat stress during this summer. Accordingly from the 1st of June until September 15th, no work can be allowed between 10am and 3:30pm under the sun or open workplaces.

Which means for the second day running there has been an increase in active cases, today rising by 42 giving us a new current total of 3,949 active cases.
