Children aged 12 to 15 eligible to receive vaccine

The Ministry of Public Health has announced three changes to the national COVID-19 programme, including children aged from 12 to 15 years are to be offered the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine in Qatar. The ministry in a statement said that the validity for a quarantine exemption of all vaccines administered in Qatar will be extended from the previously approved six months to nine months. The ministry also confirmed that all people aged over 30 will be eligible to receive the vaccine after the Eid Holidays.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 392 new cases of COVID-19 and 862 recoveries. Unfortunately, there were also 3 Covid related deaths. Which means for the 20th day running there has been a reduction in active cases, today dropping by 473 giving us a new current total of 7,197 active cases.
