COVID curbs may return if cases surge says Doctor Al Khal

Last night there was a press conference during which a few facts and figures were disclosed like: 50,000 doses of the Pfizer Biontech vaccine have been administered in the country so far. All citizens and residents will be given COVID-19 vaccine by the end of 2021. The first delivery of the Moderna vaccine is expected to arrive in the country in 10 days. And larger deliveries of both Moderna and Pfizer Biontech vaccines will arrive in Qatar from early March.

Ashghal signs pact to instal 2,600 decorative lamp poles along the Corniche and central Doha areas.

The new lamp poles have distinguished special design features reflecting the Qatari identity. They resemble rather large palm fronds. Or for those of you who don’t know what a frond is, they look like rather large palm leaves.

Qatar’s weather today will be misty to foggy in places at first becoming moderate temperature later with some clouds. It will be cold by tonight.

Doha will see temperatures between 17 and 25 degrees, today’s lowest temperature will be in Dukhan at 12 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

9,738 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 3.56% of those tested positive.

Of those testing positive 29 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
