Difficult to limit travel only to vaccine recipients

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker has said that the demand for air travel in December led to the doubling of the number of COVID-19 infections in some countries. He, however, stressed that it is difficult to limit travel to only vaccine recipients.

Schools to reopen on August the 29th

School staff will return on August the 16th, the second-round exams for grades 1 to 12 will take place between August the 18th and August 24th. And the academic year 2021 to 2022 will begin from August the 29th.

Qatari stocks jump on plan to allow full foreign ownership

Stocks jumped 2.8% after the Cabinet announcement yesterday.

The Cabinet has approved a draught law allowing foreign investors to own up to 100% in Qatari shareholding companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange.

3rd covid vaccine dose likely to be needed within 12 months

The CEO of Pfizer has said that people will most likely need a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine within a year of getting fully vaccinated.
