I paid a visit to my local Flik cinema to watch Mulan. Yes I know it’s Disney, yes I know it’s for kids. But I loved it! And we are super lucky here in Qatar. Because we can’t get Disney’s streaming channel, Disney+. Mulan is showing at cinemas here. And we get to watch it on the big screen. Which is where it belongs.
In the movie a young Chinese maiden disguises herself as a male warrior to sneakily take her fathers place fighting in a war. Full of action throughout, a little laugh here and there, and yes emotion at the end that nearly made me cry like a baby. A little bit cheesy here and there, but only grown up’s will notice that.
Would I recommend you watch it…. Hell Yes. Would I recommend you waiting for it to become available on TV. Hell NO!!! Get yourself to the cinema and take in the visual feast that Mulan is. And feel sorry for those that aren’t going to see it on anything bigger than a TV.
Mulan is rated PG13, is one hour 55 minutes long and is showing right now in cinemas here in Qatar.
