Qatar Museums has announced the reopening of a number of its museums and restaurants from today. The reopening aligns with the Ministry of Public Health’s (MoPH) resumption of public activity in Qatar, based on milestones reached in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Museums and galleries to reopen include the National Museum of Qatar or NMoQ; Mathaf which is the Arab Museum of Modern Art; and the Doha Fire Station gallery. Opening timings will be from Saturday to Thursday: 9am to 7pm while on Friday it will be from 1.30pm to 7pm. Qatar Museums’ playgrounds, libraries, and parks will also reopen. But the Museum of Islamic Art will remain closed for renovations.

The Met Office have put out a warning that strong winds are expected in some places today. And you can expect some dust to go along with that. Doha will see temperatures between 32 and 43 degrees. Elsewhere in the country it will be between 25 and 44 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

Which means for the 3rd day running there has been an increase in active cases, today rising by 134 giving us a new current total of 4,083 active cases.
