Hotel quarantine must for people from six countries
Travellers from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Philippines must undergo a 10 day quarantine in a hotel or 14 days at a Mekhaines facility. And this is regardless of whether it’s a direct flight or transited through another country. Travellers from these six countries will also require a valid PCR test to be done not more than 48 hours before boarding their flight.
Draw for FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 to be held today
The draw for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 organised by FIFA in partnership with the state of Qatar will be held today in Doha. The championship will be held from December 1st to December 18th this year with the participation of 23 teams officially invited by FIFA to participate in the tournament.
Qatar’s weather today
The Met Office have put out a warning that thunderstorms associated with sudden strong winds are expected today. The weather will be generally hazy and partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain which may be thundery in places at times.
Doha will see temperatures between 27 and 39 degrees. Elsewhere in the country it will be between 21 and 42 degrees.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 703 new cases of COVID-19 and 1,578 recoveries. Unfortunately, there were also 9 Covid related deaths. Which means for the fifth day running there has been a decrease in active cases, today dropping by a huge 884 giving us a new current total of 19,367 active cases.
