The Ministry of Commerce and industry relaxes COVID-19 curbs in amusement centres and parks.
Starting from Sunday amusement centres and parks can resume recreational activities within operational capacity not exceeding 50%.
The resumption of entertainment activities will take place in three stages
The first phase which starts from Sunday January the 3rd will see the curbs on outdoor playgrounds, kids’ outdoor games, billiards and bowling lifted.
In the second phase which will begin on January the 11th electronic games and trampolines will be allowed.
In the third stage from January 24th restrictions on bouncer’s inflatable games and ball pits will be relaxed.
Investment opportunities galore in mega beach resorts
The Ministry of Commerce and industry in Association with the Qatar National Tourism Council will unveil the investment opportunities on January the 13th
Including establishing large beach resorts in three locations around Qatar’s coast
The next Shura council will have full powers
The council will have powers to summon ministers and the Prime Minister. Dismiss ministers and monitor the governments financial management and approve the budget.
The council will represent all regions of the country. Each of the 30 electoral constituencies will have one member.
Now today’s COVID update.
In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 91, to 2,167.
10,875 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 1.96% of those tested positive.
Of those testing positive 47 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
