It’s Thursday 4th March

In today’s newspapers

No entry for employees to schools without COVID-19 vaccine proof

Starting from March the 21st no employee will be allowed to enter schools without having a golden frame and vaccination stamp on their Ehteraz app. Or furnishing proof of having a COVID-19 test on a weekly basis.

Qatar to expand vaccination drive

Qatar looks to significantly expand its COVID-19 vaccination programme and include more people in the inoculation drive

Doctor Abdullatif Al Khal says “We have recently received a regular supply of the vaccine, more than before, and with the availability of the Moderna vaccine along with the Pfizer vaccine, we can significantly expand the scale of our vaccination programme and open up the eligibility criteria to include more people in line with the ministry of public health’s strategic vaccination plan against COVID-19”.

The Ministry of Public Health has also lowered the age threshold for COVID-19 vaccination eligibility, to 50 years.

Today’s weather will see moderate temperatures with some scattered clouds.

Doha will be between 19 and 26 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 17 and 27 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 471 new cases of COVID-19 and 332 recoveries. Which means there’s been an increase of 138 cases giving us a new current total of 10,059 active cases.

Please keep following COVID precautions because together we can beat this.
