Qatar Airways flies the world’s first fully COVID vaccinated flight
Continuing its efforts in leading the recovery of international travel, Qatar Airways yesterday operated the world’s first fully COVID-19 vaccinated flight.
Akbar Al Baker the Qatar Airways chief said “this special flight demonstrates that the next stage in the recovery of international travel is not far away. We are proud to continue leading the industry by operating the first flight with a fully vaccinated crew and passengers and providing a beacon of hope for the future of international aviation”.
Health card no longer required to get vaccinated
Temporarily a health card is no longer required to receive a COVID-19 vaccine the Ministry of Public Health has announced.
You will however still require a valid Qatar ID and your Ehteraz status must be green.
Three Azure Cloud Data Centres to begin operations in early 2022
The Ministry of Transport and Communications yesterday announced the completion of construction and infrastructure for three data centres for Microsoft Azure, that will begin operations in the first quarter of 2022. Making Qatar the 55th Azure region in the world.
Microsoft Azure will provide around 24,000 new jobs in Qatar by 2024 and is projected to create around 3.14 billion U.S. dollars’ worth of opportunities in new revenue over the next five years.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 927 new cases of COVID-19 and 512 recoveries. Unfortunately, there were also 6 Covid related deaths. Which means there’s been an increase of 409 cases giving us a new current total of 17,996 active cases.
