Qatar Airways set to begin trial of new IATA Travel Pass

In partnership with the International Air Transport Association or IATA from March 2021. Qatar Airways plans to become the first airline in the Middle East to begin trialling the innovative new IATA Travel Pass ‘Digital Passport’ mobile app.

The first phase of the trial of the Digital Passport will be rolled out on the airlines Doha to Istanbul route.

It will allow travellers to safely and securely share their verified ‘Okay to Travel’ status with the airline and other stakeholders even before they arrive at the airport.

All National Sports Day activities to be held outdoors

All sporting activities and events for the National Sports Day 2021 will be conducted entirely in an outdoor setting. Activities in indoor settings are entirely prohibited.

RT-PCR checks are a must for participants of sporting activities that require direct contact such as football, volleyball, basketball among others.

Food outlets and concessions at venues are restricted to readymade takeaway in disposable packaging items.

No buffet food is to be served at any venue.

And there’s to be no spitting, no cheering, no live choir and no live singing by spectators

And the Hilton Salawa Beach Resorts and Villas welcomes guests

The resort has opened its highly anticipated new hotel accommodation, which features spacious modern guest rooms, and joins the resorts wide range of offerings, including its 84 beach villas and Qatar’s largest theme park.

Qatar’s weather today will be misty to foggy in places at first becoming moderate temperature later with some clouds. It will be cold by tonight.

Doha will see temperatures between 17 and 26 degrees, today’s lowest temperature will be 10 degrees and that’s in Messaid.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 156, to 4,223.

10,143 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 2.95% of those tested positive.

Of those testing positive 35 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
