The third Qatar – US strategic dialogue begins in Washington today.

The high level session will be Co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said.

The dialogue deals with areas of cooperation in politics, economy, culture, education, energy, health, mediation and combating terrorism.

There’s been 48 years of growing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The US has 10,000 troops stationed at their air base located within Qatar. And there’s currently 185 billion Dollars worth of economic partnerships with US companies. And plans to more than double this number.

98% of roads serving the 2022 World Cup venues have been completed.

Al Thumama stadium reaches 20 million working hours without loss of time due to injury.

And three more arrested for violating home quarantine conditions.

Active cases of COVID-19 are now 2,853

Of those being tested,  4 in 100 people are testing positive.

14 cases in the last 24 hour period were returning travelers, that are now in quarantine.
