End of blockade possible in weeks says David Shankar a senior US state Department official. Citing flexibility in negotiations.

In a Storey on the front page of today’s Tribune. Progress may be made within weeks to end the three year blockade of Qatar, by Arab states.

David shanker the department’s top diplomat for the Middle East was quick to urge caution however, because there has not been any fundamental shift in talks, that would quickly lead to a resolution.

People who came into contact with COVID-19 cases at a gymnasium of a Sports Club, have to undergo a virus test today the Ministry of Public Health has said. As a necessary precaution to protect the community, The MoPH got in touch with all the people who came into contact with infected cases, to undergo a COVID-19 test today. The Ehteraz colour has turned yellow for those who came into contact, and it will remain yellow until the quarantine period ends.

Quarantine packages for people returning to Qatar have been extended until October 31st according to information available on the discover Qatar website.

Five more arrested for breaking home quarantine rules. And Qatar’s media continue to name and shame those who do so.

Active cases of COVID-19 are now 2,895

Of those being tested,  6 in 100 people are testing positive.
