Qatar’s industrial sector shows remarkable growth

The total number of factories in 2020 amounted to 927, recording a 6% increase compared to 2019. The total volume of investment in the industrial sector in 2020 amounted to approximately 263 billion Qatar rials, showing a growth rate of 0.4% compared to 2019.

People over 60 years urged to call hotline for vaccine appointment

the ministry of public health has encouraged people over the age of 60 to call the dedicated hotline number 40277077 that number again is 40277077 to book an appointment and get vaccinated against COVID-19. At present the hotline is available from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM. The ministry is highlighted that people over 60 years of age have significantly increased risk of severe complications due to COVID-19. The majority of COVID-19 ICU admissions are for people over the age of 60 years old.  

Todays Weather

The Met Office have issued a warning that strong winds are expected today.

Today’s weather will see generally moderate temperatures with some clouds. There will be blowing dust at times.

Doha will see temperatures between 18 and 23 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 15 and 24 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 465 new cases of COVID-19 and 540 recoveries. Which means there’s been a decrease of 75 cases giving us a new current total of 9,684 active cases.
