Qatar Central Bank announces bank holiday on March the 7th
The first Sunday of March every year is an official holiday for all banks operating in the state of Qatar.
And not just banks, it’s also a bank holiday for money exchanges, investment and financial companies, insurance firms and insurance brokers.
450 face action for violating COVID-19 norms
423 for not wearing masks in places where they are mandatory, 21 were found violating the maximum number of four people allowed in a vehicle and 6 for not installing the Ehteraz app on their phone.
Renew your health card online
In view of the current COVID-19 public health emergency, Hamad Medical Corporation are encouraging everyone to renew their health cards and those of their family, by using the Hukoomi portal which is available 24/7.
Weather
The Met Office have issued a warning that there’s expected to be strong winds with poor horizontal visibility.
Today’s weather will be Misty in places at first becoming moderate temperature later with blowing dust due to those strong winds.
Doha will be between 19 and 30 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 17 and 29 degrees.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 475 new cases of COVID-19 and 318 recoveries. Which means there’s been an increase of 157 cases giving us a new current total of 10,216 active cases.
