Qatar Petroleum signs long-term LNG deal with China’s Sinopec

Under the agreement Qatar Petroleum will supply two million tonnes per annum of LNG to China, for a period of 10 years.

This is Sinopec’s first long-term LNG agreement with Qatar.

LNG deliveries will commence in January 2022.

Since its first delivery in September 2009, Qatar has supplied China with more than 62 million tonnes of LNG to date.  

Shura council approves draught law on mortgaging movable assets

The draught law aims to give companies and individuals the opportunity to acquire bank loans guaranteed by mortgaged movables such as equipment, work tools, all kinds of devices, agricultural crops, animals and their products, and intellectual property rights.

The move will benefit small and medium sized enterprises in playing a major role in enhancing the local economy.

AgriteQ kicks off at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre today

AgriteQ focuses on modern agricultural innovations that support the nations plans for increasing agricultural production.

208 companies from agriculture, environment, food, and animal production industries will take part.

More than 42 countries are participating in the Expo through embassies and trade bureaus.

The Expo will take place from today until March the 27th at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Qatar’s weather today

Doha will see temperatures between 18 and 34 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 14 and 38 degrees.

Slightly dusty in some places at times, and it will be relatively cold by tonight.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 519 new cases of COVID-19 and 311 recoveries. Unfortunately, there was also 1 Covid related death. Which means there’s been an increase of 207 cases giving us a new current total of 13,192 active cases.
