Schools reopen today with 50% student attendance

The public schools in Qatar will begin their second term today, with students attending classes as per the weekly rotating schedule for each school.

The 5th edition of the Mahaseel Festival concludes

The festival organised by the cultural village foundation, Katara, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment concluded yesterday.

The festival achieved great success and turnout by Qatari farmers and national companies specialised in agricultural production.

The crop market will resume on January the 7th and continue each Thursday Friday and Saturday until the end of March. Timings will be from 9:00am till 9:00pm on those days.

155 people booked for not wearing face masks. It’s not over yet people. Please continue to take precautions.

Qatar National Library opens more services and booking slots.

300 people will be allowed in the building during each time slot.

Time slots available are from 8am until 10am. 10:30 to 2:30 and 3:30 till 8:00pm from Saturday to Thursday.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 74, to 2,315.

10,875 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 1.92% of those tested positive.

Of those testing positive 25 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
