It’s Friday 30th April

In today’s newspapers

Qatar Airways to ship medical supplies to India free of charge

Qatar Airways is supporting international efforts to tackle the second COVID-19 surge in India by shipping medical aid and equipment to the country free of charge from global suppliers.

In a statement yesterday the national airline said it intends to transport 300 tonnes of aid from across its global network to Doha where it will be flown in a 3 flight cargo aircraft convoy directly to destinations in India where it is most desperately needed.

Changes in second dose vaccination process

Those who received their first vaccine dose at a health centre in the last 20 days and were referred to a drive through vaccination centre for their second dose, will receive an SMS to reschedule their appointment at a Primary Healthcare Corporation health centre. Drive through vaccination centres in Lusail and Al Wakra will now only be for those who received their first dose at the Qatar National Convention centre.

Children under 12 shouldn’t be allowed to use e-scooters says Hamad Medical Corporation

And they’ve issued the following safety tips for users: –

Children under the age of 12 should not be allowed to use e-scooters, new users should practise on a smooth surface in an area specifically designated for e-scooters before going out on the road, and only one user can or indeed should safely use an e-scooter.
