People are being reminded to take precautions to avoid a second COVID-19 wave
The government has urged the public to follow all COVID-19 precautions to avoid a second wave of infections in the country.
Back on December 21st active cases were below 2,000 at 1,989, but the number of active cases has slowly increased daily to the 5,068 announced yesterday.
Infected persons need to wait longer for jab
“The natural immunity of infected people lasts for a period that maybe three months” said the medical director of the Communicable Disease Centre at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Doha ranked third ‘Trending Destination’ in the world
In an achievement which shows the efficiency of Qatar’s tourism strategy implemented in recent years, Doha has been ranked third Trending Destination in the world, according to TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Awards 2021
Qatar’s weather today will be hazy in places at first becoming moderate temperature later with some clouds. It will be cold by tonight.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 251, to 5,068.
10,065 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 3.61% of those tested positive.
Of those testing positive 33 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
