The Ministry of Public Health say there are, 1,189 new COVID cases. 254 Recoveries and I’m sad to say one new additional death.

On The Tribune’s front page – The National Human Rights Committee stressing the need for further awareness-raising measures and campaigns to protect workers.

The Tribune also say that Community Police are being used to enforce social distancing guidelines in the Al Mansoura branch of Al Meera.

The Gulf Time report that the second repatriation flight to India was cancelled yesterday due to ‘Technical Reasons’. The flight is now scheduled to depart tomorrow.

An Indian expat forum has stepped in to arrange repatriation tickets for 50 people in need of assistance.

And finally

The Peninsula say that Qatar is joining countries across the world tomorrow, to mark ‘International Nurses Day’ in recognition of their courageous work. Well done to all frontline medical staff and I say thank you.
