The Gulf Times, Qatar Tribune and Peninsula all lead with stories, giving details of COVID-19 treatments here in Qatar. Among which is a technique where they extract the plasma from recovered patients and introduce it into patients undergoing treatment to help them fight the virus.

The Tribune say ‘Quarantined workers to get salaries’

The Peninsula have a story on the F-15 fighter jets due for delivery to Qatar next year undergoing their first flight tests.

And the Gulf Times say smokers have reduced immunity against Coronavirus.

On Twitter the Qatar News Agency tweet that the Qatar Financial Center is supporting 900 plus firms coping with the COVID crisis

And Hamad Medical Corporation tweet on COVID that in the previous 24 hours there have been 197 new positive cases, 39 recovered cases and no new deaths.

And finally BeIN launch a service where you can watch movies before they even get shown in the cinema for just 10 dollars each.

Todays Qatar Tribune have a front-page item reporting that a Supreme Committee for Crisis Management Spokesperson, has said it’s difficult to predict a timeline for the return to normality.

The Peninsula warn that more thundery rain is expected today.

Hamad Medical Corporation tweet on COVID that in the previous 24 hours there had been 252 new positive cases, 59 recovered cases and no new deaths.

And finally, Hamad Medical Corporation have tweeted advice on the use of masks. Stating that The Ministry of Public health does not advise healthy people to routinely wear a mask to reduce their risk of COVID-19. However, it is advised to wear a mask under certain conditions.

The Peninsula say that Kahramaa are to install 60,000 smart meters by the year end.

And on twitter the Ministry of Interior have tweeted that 4 Qatari’s have been arrested following a video on social media showed them violating the directive on gatherings in public places.

And finally, Hamad Medical Corporation have tweeted that in the previous 24 hours there has been 251 new positive cases of COVID-19, 28 newly recovered and 1 additional death.

It’s Sunday the 12th of April in Qatar. Here’s the QQ news brief.

The website I Love Qatar . Net carry a tweet from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry stating that they had closed Jarir Bookstore in Al Rayyan for 15 days, due to violations.

The Gulf Times lead on their front page with ‘Qatar Charity distributing thousands of meals every day to workers.

And they also have a story headed ‘Souq Waqif shops get ready to meet Ramadan demand’.

The Qatar Tribune lead with ‘Italy thanks Qatar for aid to fight virus’

And finally Hamad Medical Corporation tweet that in the previous 24 hours there had been 216 new positive cases of COVID 19, 20 newly recovered cases and no new deaths recoded.

It’s Saturday the 11th of April in Qatar. Here’s the QQ news brief.

The Gulf Times front page carries an article titled ‘Labour Ministry’s hotline for grievances gets over 10,000 calls.’

The article states that there were 8,590 calls from employees and 1,633 from employers.

Also on the Times front page is an item stating that The Ministry of Public Health has issued a circular instructing all pharmacies in the country to ban the sale and handling of Air Doctor

The Peninsula’s front page has a photograph with the caption ‘Stay at home’ and shows police at a checkpoint on the Corniche creating stay-at-home awareness.

There’s also an article headed ‘HMC’s virtual consultation offers access to 13 specialties’

The Ministry of public health have tweeted 136 new positive cases of COVID 19

2,279 undergoing treatment

21 recovered cases bringing the total to 227

And there had been no deaths in the previous 24 hours

It’s Friday the 10th of April in Qatar. Here’s the QQ news brief.

The Peninsula reports that The Ministry of Public Health yesterday announced 166 new cases of COVID19, with 2,164 now under treatment.  28 recoveries brings a new total of 206 recovered to date. There were no new deaths.

Also in the Peninsula is an article headed ‘Work underway on plan to gradually open closed part of Industrial Area’

The Gulf Times write that The National Human Rights Committee have launched a new Hot Line

And they also have an article stating that ‘90% of Covid-19 cases in Qatar are mild’

Qatar Tribune lead with ‘Government will spare no effort to facilitate production of medical supplies’

And finally the Tribune reports that ‘Doha Municipality inspects 7,953 food establishments in 3 months’.

In today’s news brief

The Qatar Tribune lead with a story stating that ‘All Shops except food outlets and pharmacies to remain shut on weekends. The Cabinet has decided to close all shops and stop all commercial activities on Fridays and Saturdays with the exception of food and catering shops, pharmacies and restaurants with take away facilities.

Also on the front page is a report saying there’s been an additional 28 recoveries from COVID19 bringing the total recoveries to 178. And 153 new cases detected. Taking the total cases to 2,210.

On page 3 they write that ‘Vodafone rewards COVID-19 fighters with unlimited airtime and data’

The Gulf Times front page has a story titled ‘Strategic food reserves enough for more than a year’.

And on page 3 they have a story headed ‘Qatar University centre offers online courses free of cost for public.

And finally Inside the Peninsula on page 2 there’s an item stating ‘HMC helps people overcome mental distress’
