Cabinet approves draught laws making health insurance a must for expats and visitors

The cabinet yesterday approved a draught law regulating healthcare services and announced that all expatriates and visitors must obtain health insurance to receive basic healthcare services in Qatar.

Ministry invites applications for fee hike amid COVID-19

Parents declare the move to increase fees in private schools as ‘unjustifiable’ in the present situation.

Parents stress it would be difficult for many of them to afford a new increase in fees because of the financial constraints resulting from the pandemic.

The increase in tuition fees for private schools are taking place every three years and this is making the private education system among the most expensive.

Todays Weather

The Met Office have issued a warning that thunderstorms are expected along with strong winds.

Today’s weather will see generally moderate temperatures and will be partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, maybe thundery at times.

Doha will see temperatures between 19 and 24 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 15 and 25 degrees.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, there has been 459 new cases of COVID-19 and 562 recoveries. Which means there’s been a decrease of 103 cases giving us a new current total of 9,759 active cases.

Please keep following COVID precautions because together we can beat this.
