Qatar is to host the LNG2025 International Conference and Exhibition on Liquified Petroleum Gas. The minister of State for Energy Affairs says that ‘We are please to be awarded the hosting rights for this prestigious global event to convene at the home of the world’s largest LNG producer’.
Qatar Airways wins 4 major awards at the TripAdvisor Travelers Choice, Airline Awards 2020. Including Best Middle East Airline.
The Qatar National Tourism Council, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health has launched the first phase of ‘Qatar Clean’ for hotels. The program is aimed at preparing the tourism sector in Qatar to welcome visitors again. Certification requires hotels to meet a host of stringent conditions including but not limited to; Through cleaning and disinfection not only of guest rooms, but the entire building. Elevators will be reduced to 30% capacity and they must adopt mobile or other contactless procedures for check-in and check-out.
Now here’s a quick COVID update
Active cases have gone up by 6 people. Bringing the active cases to 3,110 in the last 24 hour period.
Of those tested, 7.86% of people are testing positive over a 7 day average.
