No indoor gatherings except for family members says the Ministry of Public Health

The Ministry of Public Health has clarified the guidelines on gatherings, it said in a Tweet yesterday that “no indoor gatherings are permitted apart from families living in the same house”. The clarification came following the announcement of additional restrictions last Wednesday as part of the COVID-19 preventative measures. “an individual, or family (including children) from the same household, can go to parks, beaches and public spaces and engage in activities including running, walking, swimming, and cycling. But they cannot sit down together, have picnics, or gather with others”.

Outdoor gatherings are permitted only within the outdoor home environment, meaning gardens and outdoor home areas, for the following:

  • Gatherings of family members living in the same household.
  • Gatherings of up to five fully vaccinated individuals at least 14 days after their second dose.

The Ministry of Public Health has stressed that it is more important than ever that people adhere to the COVID-19 preventative measures.
