Qatar Airways resumes flights to Saudi Arabia

The first flight QR1164 from Hamad International Airport to King Khaled International Airport took off from Doha yesterday at 13:45 local time and landed safely at its destination at 15:10.

Qatar Airways will resume flights to Jeddah on Thursday January the 14th and Dammam on Saturday the 16th.

The national carrier continues to rebuild its network which currently stands at over 110 destinations with plans to increase to over 125 by the end of March.

Not a single COVID-19 vaccine complication case in Qatar

Says the medical director of Hamad General Hospital. He said thousands of people have received the COVID-19 vaccine in Qatar so far and everyone is in excellent condition.

Doctor Yousef Al Maslamani went on to say there are destinations and airlines such as the Australian Airlines that require vaccination as a precondition of boarding their aircraft.

Electronic games and trampolines reopen with 50% capacity

The second stage of the reopening of recreational activities in amusement cities and parks began yesterday.

The first stage saw the reopening of outdoor playgrounds, kids’ outdoor games, billiards and bowling alleys back on the 3rd of January.

The third stage which starts from January the 24th will see the reopening of bouncers, inflatable games, and ball pits.

Qatar’s weather generally will see moderate temperatures today with scattered clouds at times, relatively cold by night.

Doha will have a maximum temperature of 24 degrees and a minimum of 17. Which compared to Messaid is relatively warm as their temperature could be as low as 9 degrees today.

Now today’s COVID update.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 71, to 2,995.

11,524 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 1.63% of those tested positive.

Of those testing positive 38 were travellers who are now in quarantine.
