The Ministry of Municipality  and Environment presented the strategy to achieve Qatar’s National Vision 2030 in yesterdays cabinet meeting.

And the Minister of Municipality and Environment also outlined the priorities for 2022. Among which were food security and agriculture, where the priorities for 2022 are the availability of food at reasonable prices, with a high level of quality and safety. And also the efficiency of resource management.

Schools are to follow a blended learning system in the first semester.

The Ministry of Education and higher education has announced amendments in its Back to School plan, that had previously been circulated. To implement a blended learning system during the first semester of the academic year.

This is to be implemented across both public and private schools, kindergartens and higher education institutions. Accordingly e-learning has to be combined with classroom learning, in one framework. Schools will only have around 30% of students attend physically at any given time. Students will only be required to attend school one to three times per week, In order to attend classes of basic subjects, to do practical experiments in laboratories and to appear in tests. There will be a distance of at least 1.5 metres between each student in classrooms.

Qatar Airways rebuilds its network to more than 550 flights per week.

Qatar Airways continues to lead the recovery of the aviation industry maintaining its position as the leading international carrier providing global connectivity. Now flying to 85 destinations.

The National Employment platform ‘Kawader’ has been launched.

The service for Qatar citizens only, will help with the recruitment of those actively seeking employment. And will allow employers and job seekers to find each other.

Now that the private sector has a requirement to employ a minimum of 60% Qatar Nationals, this service is going to prove very useful.

Active cases of COVID-19 here in Qatar are still hovering at just above 3,000. And as a 7 day average, only 6.35% of those being tested are testing positive.
