Qatar – Saudi land border reopens
Vehicles crossed the Abu Samra border crossing for the first time since mid 2017
Hotel quarantine must for travellers coming through the Abu Samra border.
All arrivals to Qatar from the Abu Samra border crossing are required to undergo a COVID-19 test and obtain a virus free certificate no more than 72 hours before travel.
And all arrivals will be subject to hotel quarantine for a period of one week.
Qatar Airways to fly to three Saudi cities
More flights have been announced between Qatar and Saudi Arabia starting tomorrow.
All Qatar Airways flights to Saudi Arabia will be operated exclusively by wide bodied aircraft. Qatar Airways flights will start with daily services to Riyadh, four flights a week to Jeddah, and daily flights to Dammam.
People without a health card are urged to register with the Primary Healthcare Corporation
It’s being suggested that people without health cards, register with the designated health centres, in order to obtain COVID-19 vaccine.
Qatar’s weather today will be misty in places at first, becoming moderate temperature daytime with scattered clouds. And cold by night.
Doha will have a maximum temperature of 23 degrees. And a minimum of 16. Fine to partly cloudy.
Now today’s COVID update.
In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 87, to 2,854.
10,200 COVID-19 tests were performed, and just 2.02% of those tested positive.
Of those testing positive 57 were travelers who are now in quarantine.
