Quarantine exemption for vaccinated people now extended to six months

If you travel, at least 14 days must have passed after receiving the second dose of the vaccine before returning to Qatar. And then on return if you have a negative PCR test you will be exempt from quarantine.

Non vaccinated children below 16 years of age returning to Qatar with fully vaccinated parents are permitted to quarantine at home rather than in a hotel.

The exemption of quarantine period does not currently apply to people who were vaccinated in other countries.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry advises cafes to respect local customs and traditions

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has said the new trend of serving beverages in feeding bottles is not in line with the countries customs and traditions. Taking note of the trend of restaurants and cafes serving coffee and other beverages in bottles meant for babies, the ministry yesterday urged such establishments to adhere to the relevant regulations and laws.

In Today’s Weather

Doha will see temperatures between 19 and 29 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 15 and 36 degrees.

And the Met Office have put out a warning that there’s expected to be poor horizontal visibility by tonight.

In the last 24-hour period, there have been 471 new cases of COVID-19 and 313 recoveries. Which means there’s been an increase of 157 cases giving us a new current total of 11,012 active cases.
